Both of her parents are freelance performing artists. She grew up immersed in ethnic music and dance and it was natural for her to discover a career in flamenco. With her background in flamenco\, classical\, and contemporary dance Lakshmi was fortunate to quickly be embraced by artists in Spain and has come to work aside great artists such as Manuel Molina\, Remedios Amaya\, Joselito Mendez\, Antonio Moya\, La Hermenia\, Carmen Ledesma\, Antonio Rey and La Tona.\n‘EL CHUPETE’\, Coming from Seville\, Antonio Rodríguez El Chupete is a body that generates an igneous dance. The US press has called him El Salvaje \, promoter of “a friction-filled\, addictive dance.” To contemplate him is\, in effect\, to be captivated by his genuine way of approaching this art\, outside any guideline that can be considered canon. He marches\, charges\, twists\, gets inside himself; his bushy giant’s beard gives him the look of a wolf or ogre\, but within his eyes shines a deeply moving tenderness\, which sometimes translates into gentle movement passes. As unusual as unforgettable.\nANTONIO MOYA AND MARI PEÑA\, Antonio Moya (Nimes\, 1965)\, guitarist\, or “tocaor” as he prefers to be called\, born in France to a family of Andalusian immigrants\, together with his wife flamenco singer Mari Peña\, lives in Utrera. Mari Peña powerful voice\, is one of the last representatives of the singing of Lebrija and Utrera in Andalusia. Moya is also artistically connected to Lebrija and Morón de la Frontera\, and whose aroma of earth and olive trees is present in his playing\, with a subtle modern patina. He has accompanied and recorded with Bernarda de Utrera\, Pepa de Benito\, Gaspar de Utrera\, Enrique Extremeño and Tomás de Perrate among others.\nAntonio Moya: “Culture is an important element of society\, and we make culture”
