Their music pays homage to the golden age of the Parisian-Russian cabaret. The Trio is named after the Romanian virtuoso violinist and composer Grigoras Ionica Dinicu\, who influenced the one and only Jascha Heifetz and who was admired by Stephane Grappelli\, the world’s most famous jazz violinist. His repertoire is immense and ranges from popular music from all over the Romanian\, Hungarian music\, jazz\, and classical music\, sometimes these repertoires intersect each other in such a natural way that they fade the boundaries between one genre and another.

SUMMARY:MAETAR in Topanga Canyon
DESCRIPTION:Maetar: Eclectic Avant Funk Jazz with a Middle Eastern Twist\n\n\nSAT MAR 18th MAETAR: “World Groove Eclectic Avant Funk Jazz with a Middle Eastern Twist”. with special guests \n8:30 doors open 9pm music starts \n$30 GTD SIT DOWN CHAIR \n$20 dancing\, limited pillow seating & garden access \n$15 Corazon Membership Discounted price \nMaetar’s music can be described as “World Groove Eclectic Avant Funk Jazz with a Middle Eastern Twist”. Imagine if Miles Davis and Jimi Hendrix had a musical baby in the Delta of the Nile\, and George Clinton was the midwife\, it might sound like Maetar. \nItai Disraeli – Bass \nHagai Izraeli – Horns \nRichard Fultineer – Drums \nBrothers Itai (bass) and Hagai (horns) were born in war torn Israel on a kibbutz and started making music at the age of six and four. The whole family use to gather around their grandfather’s table every Saturday and jam. They grew into legitimate musicians; Hagai became a soloist with Israeli orchestras and Itai became a celebrated and sought after bassist\, winning “Bass Player of the year”. \nDetermined to use their music as an instrument of peace and joined by renowned drummer/world percussionist\, Richard Fultineer\, Maetar forged their sound and style. \nTheir concerts for human rights and peace have brought Arab\, Israeli\, Muslim\, Christian\, and Buddhist musicians and communities together. Maetar’s music is a declaration of peace\, calling on Hebrew and Arabic melodies\, filtering it through a rigorous jazz perspective\, and the exuberance of funk\, soul\, afrobeat\, and rock. Playing native instruments from the world over\, employing rhythms and melodic modes from various cultures\, Maetar brothers embody the universal language of music with their original sound\, inspirational melodies\, seductive grooves and inventive use of modern technology. \nMaetar as created a body of work that has been featured in concert halls\, festivals\, movies and television. Playing and recording with great musicians from around the world such as James Gadson\, Jackson Browne\, Roger Waters\, Susanna Hoff (Bangles)\, Tony Allen (Fella Kuti)\, Trilok Gurtu\, Larry Coryell\, Nishat Khan\, Prince Diabate of Guinea and Omar Faruk Tekbilek to name a few\, helped the band shape its sound and inspired it to dig deeper. \nThe new Maetar cycle of works celebrates the group’s forging a new musical path. Desiring to create an original musical language that will express their passion for peace and reach across borders\, the band once declined public appearances for 3 years and woodshed in a loft over a vintage pirate outfit factory. The mindset of deep listening as foundation for peace led to the operative mode “CPWO” – Completely Present and Wide-Open – playing live in the same room\, no charts\, overdubs\, click track and clichés. Instead\, creating an environment in which all participants interact equally\, listening deeply\, being in the moment without preconceived notions and patiently exploring the elements of music. \nThis discipline led to many hours of experimentation with the sounds of diverse instruments\, rhythms\, modes\, grooving\, looping\, layering and shaping. The band recorded the sessions\, analyzed and discussed intent and impact\, which led to greater communication and expression\, and to the development of the Urban Crawl\, Abstract One Drop\, Nu World Groove\, Tone Poems and Meditative Soundscapes styles. This is the evolution of Maetar’s signature sound and the cycle of works. The tones and sounds the band produces create a sonic wave that is encoded with peace\, freedom\, and creativity.

Sean Cullen\, Pete Thomason\, Brendon O’Halloran and Adam Rundquist began playing gigs on St. paddys day tunder the name O’Tangent o quench their love of Irish music. O’Tangent ( named after their inability to rehearse due to the members incessant talking and tangents\, the O’ thrown in to make it Irish sounding) For years was purely an annual band that only played a few gigs a year. No surprise there. \nThat changed when Sean And Brendon tired of the tangenting conceived of a New format. They wanted to bring the energy of the tradition of musicians playing around a table in a pub\, to the stage. \nSo “The Table ‘ was born. Sean and Brendon would lead the songs standing in front and the group would sit at a table on stage as though they were in a pub. \nThis Became The Regulars. Joining the Regulars was Tim O’Gara\, Tim Moynahan\, Scott Grusin\, and Eric Rasmussen who became part of the core. \nIn 2000 something Cullen moved to Oregon for two years. During this time O’Halloran was left holding the bag. He took over leadership and changed the format again. This time all members sat at the table and the stage show consisted of 6-7 members onstage taking turns singing and backing each other on vocals. With each member playing multiple instruments including two trombone players the group created a unique and full sound that began to inspire and gain momentum. \nThe group began to play year round and usually played multiple gigs on St. paddys day. The group imploded one year on St paddys day culimnating in a bar room brawl that still has them banned from Molly Malones. \nSean got lonely and moved back from from Oregon and started a new Irish band “lilt ‘n tang” (yes that really is the name) with Scott Grusin and music teacher Joel Mankey. Lilt n’ Tang recorded \, played steady gigs\, took nice pictures\, had a promo package and all that cool stuff. O’Halloran got bored of playing with himself and started sitting in. but then that kind of imploded too. Slowly the two bands began to merge with members of the Regulars drifting into salt n’ pep…. I mean Lilt N’ Tang and vice versa. \nToday The Regulars \, after almost 22 years of playing together\, are more like a family then a band. \nGetting together around St. Paddys and playing the music for the love of it. Sons of the group members have learned the songs and sometimes join them onstage in a generational ensemble singing the rich songs of history\, culture and Irish life\, past and present.

SUMMARY:Fabiano do Nascimento + Julian Cantelm perform "Lendas" and more
DESCRIPTION:Brazilian guitarist Fabiano do Nascimento + drummer Julien Cantrel perform “Lendas” and more\n\n\nFabiano do Nascimento + Julien Cantrel perform “Lendas” and more \nTHU MARCH 16th 8PM in Topanga Canyon. \ndoors open 7:45pm \n\n$25 GTD Sit Down Chair Seating\n$20 Pillow and Standing\, Garden Access\n\nLendas is the Brazilian guitarist Fabiano do Nascimento’s fifth album for Now-Again Records. \n“This show at Corazon featuring drummer Julien Cantrel will be an intimate / “stripped down” version of the compositions and arrangements from latest album LENDAS + new music that is unreleased”. \n“Lendas” translates from Portuguese as “legends\,” but the literal translation itself doesn’t describe this album. With Lendas\, Do Nascimento recalls memories from places that no longer exist; from fever dreams in the Amazon; from parts of the world we might never see or engage\, but can imagine through music. \nLike his previous albums Prelúdio and Ykytu\, Lendas features do Nascimento’s compositions\, this time with orchestral arrangements by Vittor Santos (not performing) and also special participation by Arthur Verocai (not performing). \nABOUT THE “LENDAS” PROJECT: \nVittor Santos is a composer\, arranger\, trombonist and music producer from Rio de Janeiro\, who has worked in Brazilian music for over thirty years. Do Nascimento and Santos met in Rio in 2017 during the recording of Do Nascimento’s hero\, and 70s and 80s Brasilian guitar catalyst Carioca Freitas album Aquarelas. The two bonded over a mutual appreciation for Do Nascimento’s uncle Lúcio and the Bossa Nova star Leny Andrade\, both of whom largely influenced Do Nascimento’s musical foundation. \nIn Santos\, Fabiano found an arranger who was sensitive enough in his orchestrations that he could create an orchestral dialogue between stacks of strings and Do Nascimento’s plaintive plucking. It was only natural to invite the highest regarded\, now legendary\, 1970s Brazilian arranger\, Arthur Verocai\, to contribute. Verocai\, who had worked with Do Nascimento on his forays in Los Angeles\, was pleased to participate. In this way\, the circle of old and new\, so crucial in Do Nascimento’s work\, comes together and flows outwards. \n******** \nFABIANO is a Rio de Janeiro-born\, LA-based multi-string guitarist\, composer and producer with an ever-expansive sound\, borrowing from the traditions of samba and choro while echoing elements of modern jazz\, pop\, experimental & electronic. \nAs drummer in San Diego\, JULIEN CANTREL is highly sought after for his versatile and creative styles. Born into a musical family\, Cantelm’s journey began at a young age\, when he first picked up the violin before moving on to the drum set and acoustic guitar. Equally adept in jazz\, brazilian\, cuban\, funk\, rock and various other styles of music\, Cantelm performs\, records and works with numerous artists.

We will have a limited number of books available the night of. Cash preferred.\n \n \nKimberly says..On the heels of this new book\, Reckoning\, that grew out of on-line recordings\, we were able to stand in the same place and reckon together and with some of you. We have spoken with hundreds of people from Toronto to Sebastopol. We took no pictures\, so there are none to show.\n \n \nThe meetings between us have been characterized by genuine interest and a devotion to what arises in the moment. We do prepare\, but we do not rehearse. We don’t “set each other up” to say the things we want to hear nor to try to create discord\, where there surely could be some. In that way\, it is truly alive\, and something seems to happen that is beyond us.\n \n \nThe experience is electric and a high wire act. The whole podcast is worth it just for that story that comes at the 34-minute mark.\n \n \n—\n \n \nAuthor’s Remarks on Reckoning:\n \n \n“You come by your prejudices more or less involuntarily. That means you inherit them. And generally speaking the world gives you plenty of reason to go with your prejudices and not wonder about them too much. That’s a very dark thing to consider: the world in its conditions is so encouraging of your prejudices that you could almost be forgiven for being unconscious about them. Almost. Heartbreak is how you humanize your prejudices.” ~ Stephen Jenkinson\n \n \n“One of my particular heartbreaks is that the unconscious foundation of so much of my world view\, even it criticisms\, is rooted in individualism. Especially heartbreaking is the remarkable individualism of those around me who bang the drum of community. ” ~ Kimberly Ann Johnson\n \n \n—\n \n \nABOUT THE AUTHORS\n \n \nStephen Jenkinson\, MTS\, MSW\, is a spiritual activist\, author\, ceremonialist and farmer. This is why the Paris-born\, L.A.-based artist is considered one of the most versatile and musically diverse violinists today. \nDUSTY BROUGH\, GUITAR Guitarist Dusty Brough brilliantly combines his roots in Flamenco with Jazz\, Folk\, Brazilian\, Gypsy and Balkan music. As a composer\, he integrates these eclectic influences with his unique approach to music and a “blatant disregard for genre boxes” (Joe Bendel\, Epoch Times). Brough’s nylon-string guitar playing is marked by an unparalleled agile technique that supports a buoyant aesthetic. Dusty creates something truly remarkable by seamlessly blending lush harmonies\, intricate rhythms and improvisation\, with a fluidity\, presence\, and rhythm that can only be compared to the rolling waves of the ocean. \nSYLVAIN CARTON Saxophones ( Clarinet – Flute – Guitar Composition – Arranging – Production) Originally from France\, Sylvain Carton is a multi-instrumentalist (woodwinds\, guitars) and composer currently residing in Los Angeles. An accomplished performer\, Sylvain records and tours regularly with a number of groups representing a variety of musical genres and traditions including Beats Antique\, The Japonize Elephants\, We Are The West\, The Mitch Marcus Quintet\, Maureen and the Mercury 5\, Space Blaster\, and The Sylvain Carton Quartet. \n* MILES JAY ~ (Multifaceted virtuoso Double Bass\, Buzuk & Lyra )Miles Jay is a composer and instrument maker\, and an active performer with many prominent artists around the world. Broad in range of his musical influences and communities\, Miles has lived abroad for years absorbing styles from many traditions\, and has performed in such venues as Carnegie Hall\, the Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi\, and the United Nations. \nFrom 2005 to 2012\, Miles lived in Egypt and Lebanon\, performing and collaborating with many beloved artists of the region\, including Youssou N’Dour\, Ziad Rahbani\, Naseer Shamma\, Ross Daly\, and the Cairo Symphony Orchestra. During this time he co-founded and co-produced several ensembles and albums\, as well as traveled extensively around the region for concerts in Dubai\, Turkey\, Greece\, Tunisia\, Oman\, Algeria\, Senegal\, Syria\, and Western Europe. Active in studios as well\, Miles worked with composer Khaled Mouzannar as music consultant and instrumentalist on the score to Nadine Labaki’s latest film “Where do we go Now\,” an official selection of both Sundance and Cannes. Throughout all of this valuable experience\, Miles focused on re-imagining the bass’s role both as an accompanying instrumental and as a melodic lead\, adapting a wide range of Arabic\, Greek\, and Turkish ornamentation to develop his own extended technique when playing with a bow.

SUMMARY:David Rovics in Topanga Canyon Songs of Social Significance
DESCRIPTION:“I’m a big fan.” Tom Morello\, Rage Against the Machine SINGER-SONGWRITER. ANARCHIST. David Rovics performs Songs of Social Significance\n\n\nI’m a big fan.” Tom Morello\, Rage Against the Machine \nSUNDAY FEBRUARY 12th\, 2023 8pm! doors open 7:30pm \n$20 bucks suggested donationand as usual no one turned away for lack of funds. but tix in advance or just show up! SINGER-SONGWRITER. ANARCHIST. DAVID ROVICS in Topanga CanyonDavid Rovics is an American indie singer/songwriter and anarchist. His music concerns topical subjects such as war\, anti-globalization and social justice issues. He has shared the stage with a veritable who’s who of the left in two dozen countries\, and has had his music featured on Democracy Now!\, BBC\, Al-Jazeera and other networks. His essays are published regularly on CounterPunch and elsewhere\, and the 200+ songs he makes available for free on the web have been downloaded more than a million times. \nMost importantly\, he’s really good. He will make you laugh\, he will make you cry\, he will make the revolution irresistible. \n“Absolutely brilliant. David Rovics says exactly what needs to be said.” Ian McMillan\, BBC \n “If the great Phil Ochs were to rise from the dead today\, he would probably be hailed as the new David Rovics.” Andy Kershaw\, BBC \nDavid Rovics grew up in a family of classical musicians in Wilton\, Connecticut\, and became a fan of populist regimes early on. By the early 90’s he was a full-time busker in the Boston subways and by the mid-90’s he was traveling the world as a professional flat-picking rabble-rouser. These days David lives in Portland\, Oregon and tours regularly on four continents\, playing for audiences large and small at cafes\, pubs\, universities\, churches\, union halls and protest rallies.  \n“It seems to me that in order to understand the world we live in now\, we have to know how we got here. In order to have any idea of where we’re going\, we need to know where we’ve been. We need to know our own history — the history of the social movements\, uprisings\, invasions\, coups\, economic bubbles\, stock market crashes and other events that have shaped our societies and created the world we live in today. The more we know about key events of the past — often events that the powers-that-be would prefer we forgot about completely — the more the world around us becomes a comprehensible place\, existing not just in the three dimensions of the physical world\, but in the dimension of time as well. There are many ways to learn history — ways that can be a lot of fun\, as well as educational. I have a Musical History section of my website dedicated to using songs as well as prose to introduce people to important events in world history. \n Concerts (we can still call them concerts even if I’m talking more than usual in between the songs) will be appropriate for any adult or teen audience\, and will seek to use historical anecdotes as a means of addressing the present moment.

Luanne Homzy a world-renowned concert violinist; Tommy Davy\, a virtuoso guitarist of the young generation of Franco-Russian guitar; and Frank Anastasio\, a legendary jazz bassist\, vocalist\, and guitarist. \nHighly regarded for their creativity\, Trio Dinicu blends acrobatic technique with the improvisatory language of jazz and the richness of Eastern European folk\, including Romanian violin\, Russian balalaika\, and French “Jazz Hot”. \nThey have performed for audiences across the United States\, Europe and Canada. The trio has just completed their latest album in 2023 “Cabaret Tzigane”. \n“A steam locomotive of an astounding blend of jazz and classical music performed with the virtuosity of masters.” ~ Christopher Donison\, Director of Music By The Sea At Bamfield \nGEORGE MIU: One of the world’s leading interpreters of the cimbalom ( known as cimbalom\, or hammered dulcimer)\, a symbolic instrument of the Hungarian and Romanian repertoire\, a modern and “chromatic” variant of the so-called psaltery\, an instrument in which the strings are struck by two stakes. \nHe was born into a Lautari family\, professional musicians mostly of Roma ethnicity\, son of the legendary Ion Miu\, nicknamed “The Godfather of the Cimbalom”\, considered one of the main innovators of the modern technique of the Cimbalom\, recognized for having broadened the horizons of the instrument from traditional music to classical music and jazz. \nGeorge has spent every single day of his life performing with the most famous musicians in Romania. His repertoire is immense and ranges from popular music from all over the Romanian\, Hungarian music\, jazz\, and classical music\, sometimes these repertoires intersect each other in such a natural way that they fade the boundaries between one genre and another.

SUMMARY:Alessandra Belloni ; Sacred Drumming & Chants for the Black Madonnas
DESCRIPTION:Internationally renowned Italian Singer & percussionist/Remo Artist – Alessandra Belloni\nIn: SACRED DRUMMING & CHANTS FOR THE BLACK MADONNA\n\n\nCORAZON PERFORMING ARTS presents: \nInternationally renowned Italian Singer & percussionist/Remo Artist – Alessandra Belloni \nIn: SACRED DRUMMING & CHANTS FOR THE BLACK MADONNA & THE ORISHAS FORM ITALY & BRAZIL \nFeaturing: \nALESSANDRA BELLONI : voice\, tambourines\, frame drums\, \nVIDA VIERRA – vocals\, percussion – \nDANI LUNN – Dance\, Vocals/Percussion \nJOHN FITZGERALD – percussion – \nCYNTHIA JIMENEZ — Drums \nA mystical journey of empowerment as we unveil the healing power of the musical traditions of the Black Madonna known in the Italian folk tradition as “the Seven Sisters.” \nSUNDAY JANUARY 29 – 7:00pm – at CORAZON PERFORMING ARTS 125 S Topanga Canyon Blvd\, Topanga\, tickets: \n$ 30 GTD Sit Down Chair Seating \n$20 Standing & Limited Pillow Seating \nThis powerful musical journey will introduce and transport the audience to a time and place where an unbroken and ancient tradition continues today with folk music\, processions\, devotional drumming\, and dance. \nThe concert is inspired by two geographically distant but thematically parallel traditions. Southern Italian and Brazilian purification rites and procession performed in the summer to honor the archetypical sea goddess. In Brazil she comes from the West African Yoruba culture and is called Yemanja \, in Italy she is called the Black Madonna of the Sea (once called Aphrodite). Internationally renowned singer\, percussionist\, dancer and REMO Artist Alessandra Belloni will be playing the ocean drum\, recreating the sound of the waves of the ocean \, her Yemanja drum made by Remo that combines the sound of the water with the drum\, her line of Southern Italian tambourines and frame drums accompanied by a small ensemble of singers and percussionists. \nVida Vierra will sing the traditional Afro Brazilian Chants for Yemanja and Ochun\, Goddess of Love\, the Sea\, the Rivers accompanied by djembes\, congas\, pandeiro & bells. \nSouthern Italy and Brazil share their common roots in Africa and worship of the Black Madonna as African Mother. \nFollowing Alessandra’s book\, “Healing Journeys with the Black Madonna” (Inner Traditions Bear and Co.\, 2019)https://www.amazon.com/Healing-Journeys-Black- Madonna-Practices/dp/15914 The concert will narrate the legend of the 7 Sisters \, or seven Black Madonnas: \nThe last one was believed to be the ugliest so she ran away to a high mountain “Mount Partenio” so that the pilgrims had to search hard to find her. When they found Her they saw that she was the most beautiful of all\, She was Black and they called her “Mamma Schiavona” the nurturing\, serving mother\, to be found now in MONTEVERGINE. She is also the patron of the gay & transgenders. \nThese Madonnas are connected to seven Goddesses that are part of the ancient worship of Mother Earth and the archetype of the African Mother\, especially Isis from Egypt. \nCountries around the world\, including Southern Italy\, Brazil\, Africa and the Middle East have musical traditions based on the power of women chants & drumming. Belloni and company will emulate one of the most ancient ways of praying and healing\, including sacred chanting to the Black Madonna sung by female voices in harmony\, accompanied by various percussion instruments (frame drums\, tambourines\, shakers\, djembes\, dumbecks\, riqqs\,). Dancers will spin and stomp their feet in celebration of life and peace..

SUMMARY:Chris Murphy's Seven Crows & Tim O'Gara's Donkey Bone Chronicles
DESCRIPTION:Chris Murphy\, violin virtuoso will be sharing his solo hauntingly beautiful body of work\, Seven Crows & Tim O’Gara’s Donkey Bone Chronicles\n\n\n SATURDAY\, JAN 28th\, 9PM Chris Murphy’s Seven Crows project & Tim O’Gara’s Donkey Bone Chronicles. Tim will be singing some new songs\, some old and some from his soon-to-be-released album: Underground Waltz. \nFEATURING: \nCHRIS MURPHY\, Violin and TIM O’GARA\, donkey bone jaw\, mouth harp\, guitar\, and other unusual sound instruments… \nTIM:O’GARA \n\n “A mix of Celtic flavors\, bluegrass\, acoustic jam band\, singer-songwriter waif and quirkiness. TIM’S voice is reminiscent of Paul Simon and the production often reminds me of Neil Young’s acoustic stuff\, but with more exotic instrumentation.” ~ DuJour\, former music critic for the NY Times\, LA Times\n\nCHRIS MURPHY: \n“ Based in Los Angeles\, a prolific songwriter\, composer\, and performer; Murphy presents his latest masterful instrumental opus Seven Crows: Secrets of Navigation. This 8-song cycle of layered violin compositions melds artfully nuanced plucked rhythmic figures\, lyrical phrasing\, and shimmering sustained lines\, all refracted by reverbs\, echoes\, and modulation pedals. \nOr\, perhaps you’ll arrive in the artsy Southwest enclave of Bisbee\, Arizona\, where Murphy tracked these ambient violin elegies with producer Dan Simonis. While violin is the only instrument being played\, don’t be surprised if you hear echoes of kalimba\, pipe organ\, birdsong\, bagpipes\, vintage synthesizers\, or Miles Davis’ wah-wah trumpet warbles coming from that fiddle. \n\n“Like fellow violin iconoclasts Warren Ellis (The Dirty Three) and Lisa Molinaro (Modest Mouse)\, Murphy travels with a supernatural violin in that beat-up\, brooding black case. Who knows what you’ll find in there\, or where it will take you. “ – James Rotundi\, Jazz Times\, Acoustic Guitar\n\n8:30PM DOORS OPEN \n$25 GTD SIT DOWN CHAIR SEATING \n$20 Standing\, Pillows\, Garden Listening (first come first serve) \nBYOB & beverages allowed.

DESCRIPTION:A Sonic Journey. TAKE IT. Final Fridays of each month\, featuring Uplifting Disco with GEM\, Highlighted DJ & Special Guests.\n\n\nOpening night of our new monthly features a very special guest\, DJ Jeremy Sole (KCRW / Le Frique Sonique). Disco & downtempo DJ sets & custom compositions featuring recording artist GEM & guests. \n==== \nA Sonic Journey. TAKE IT. Final Fridays of each month\, featuring Uplifting Disco with GEM\, Highlighted DJ & Special Guests. \nJEREMY SOLE : \nChicago-born Jeremy Sole has been making beats since the MPC60\, deejaying since rotary crossfaders were the standard\, and playing clubs since he was too young to (legally) get in. As a teenager\, Sole’s loft parties were a culture clash during the birth of Hip Hop and House music. He matured as a turntablist in Jazz\, Dub and experimental hybrid bands. Jeremy’s upbringing was seeped in the rich Chicago history of Blues\, Jazz\, Disco and Funk – and he reveled in that sacred space where they all blend together. As a kid he spent many nights in the alleys behind blues clubs listening through the air vents\, before heading downtown to mix at deep Disco loft parties. Meanwhile his obsession grew to include music from every corner of the world. In 2001 Sole moved to Los Angeles\, and with his broad musical palette he felt right at home in the spiciest melting pot in the country. \nJeremy has had the honor of sharing the stage and studio with hundreds of his creative inspirations\, including Roy Ayers\, Ben Harper\, Tony Allen\, DJ Shadow\, Stevie Wonder\, The Meters\, Chaka Khan\, Seu Jorge\, Antibalas\, Fat Freddy’s Drop\, Parliament\, Lee Scratch Perry\, Buck 65\, Quantic and Joe Bataan. He was the last DJ to open for Ray Charles\, deejayed for Sly Stone’s birthday party\, and had the distinct honor of mixing at the California Democratic Party’s Election Night Celebration – playing Stevie Wonder’s “Sir Duke” for over 10\,000 people at the exact moment when Barack Obama officially became the 44th President. \n“Jeremy Sole was a revelation.” – Gilles Peterson (via Twitter\, after WMC 2010) \n“If I was a DJ full time\, I would most likely spin like Jeremy Sole. His mind and soul hears exactly what I hear. He makes Sunset Blvd feel groovy\, and that’s hard to do in my book.” – Raphael Saadiq \n“Jeremy Sole is a man of good taste & tasteful mixing. Los Angeles is lucky to have him …he’s a goldmine of music.” – Quantic \n“Jeremy Sole is not only a world class DJ\, but a world class citizen of the world. One of the nicest ugly dudes I’ve ever worked with haha. AND\, his beard is great for storing snacks and small tools on those long hot nights in the DJ booth. Jokes aside though\, one of my favorite dudes in the game hands down\, and a fucking phenomenal talent.” – Rich Medina \n“Jeremy is a great DJ\, presenter\, producer and knower-of-music …an extremely cool dude. I cannot stop listening to his remix of ‘I Put A Spell On You’ …it’s irresistible.” – Henry Rollins \n======== \nGEM loves producing dreamy downtempo\, disco\, ambient\, new age DJ sets and custom compositions in the studio alike. \nGEM has been featured on major Spotify tastemaker playlists\, played gigs and festivals across the world. She produces in 432hz to align with the magic of the universe. \nAs an artist\, GEM creates a beautiful sonic journey that allows audiences to move their bodies freely and connect with the universal spirit. GEM mixes electronic sounds with live\, organic instrumentation and layers soft\, shimmering vocals that feel like you’re floating on a cloud. She builds other worldly experiences using frequency and lush visuals. \n“It’s like GEM flew down from space right when the world was asking where are the young female producers”- BILLBOARD MAGAZINE \n“GEM is an artist you should know” ROLLINGSTONE \n“GEM is the #2 female producer in the world to watch right now”- SHOWBIZ MAGAZINE
