Both of her parents are freelance performing artists. She grew up immersed in ethnic music and dance and it was natural for her to discover a career in flamenco. With her background in flamenco\, classical\, and contemporary dance Lakshmi was fortunate to quickly be embraced by artists in Spain and has come to work aside great artists such as Manuel Molina\, Remedios Amaya\, Joselito Mendez\, Antonio Moya\, La Hermenia\, Carmen Ledesma\, Antonio Rey and La Tona. \n* \nJOAQUIN GALLEGOS was born in Santa Fe\, New Mexico. He comes from a family of artists and musicians\, starting music studies at age 7 and playing the guitar at 9 years old. Joaquin has made Andalucia his second home having spent several years living\, studying and performing there and in the United States as well as in Latin America. He lived among gypsy clans in Sacromonte\, Granada\, learning the art of accompanying cante and baile. Some of Joaquin’s most important maestros have been Chuscales\, Manolo Sanlucar\, El Viejin\, Emilio Maya and Antón Jimenez. Joaquin has recorded on many artists’ albums and toured with Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana\, EntreFlamenco and as a solo artist. His second album\, ‘Nuevos Comienzos’\, was released in 2015 and has received critical acclaim for it’s composition\, innovation\, and technical virtuosity. \n* \nMANUEL GUTIERREZ: Manuel Gutierrez Cabello was born in Montpellier\, France after his parents had migrated to South of France from Cordoba\, Spain. Manuel is considered to be a charismatic and passionate performer that over-delivers at every show. From a young age he had shown a talent for dance\, winning his first flamenco award at only 8 years old. He began to develop his unique style under the direction of Lita Peiro\, José Galván and later with Joaquin Grilo and Javier Latorre. \nBy age twenty\, Gutierrez began producing works and dancing across Europe with legendary artists including Duquende\, Chicuelo\, Juan Carmona and Chispa Negra. He also began to collaborate with top French choreographers Redha\, Marjorie Ascione\, and Gerome Zerbie. In 2008\, Manuel was invited to choreograph the production “Flamenco Flamen’ka” which sold out the Lyric Theatre in London and and ran for five years in Great Britain and France. Guiterrez’s fame as a choreographer and producer was growing. \nThe Telegraph in London called his work “Fiery.” \nDanse Magazine nicknamed him\, “The Young Flamenco Prince.” Figarro Newspaper raved “The dance is strong\, voluptuous\, and spectacular… a profound type of Flamenco and incredibly explosive.” \n* \nDAVID MORALES BOROFF is a violinist and composer who graduated from Berklee School of Music in 2018. He performs original compositions and gypsy jazz as well as collaborations in the world of Flamenco and Latin music.
