TRANSLATION: ” A heart-wrenching homage to the romantics of pure flamenco”
‘LA CHIMI’, a remarkable ascent–which is no surprise considering her childhood and family history. Both of her parents are freelance performing artists. She grew up immersed in ethnic music and dance and it was natural for her to discover a career in flamenco. With her background in flamenco, classical, and contemporary dance Lakshmi was fortunate to quickly be embraced by artists in Spain and has come to work aside great artists such as Manuel Molina, Remedios Amaya, Joselito Mendez, Antonio Moya, La Hermenia, Carmen Ledesma, Antonio Rey and La Tona.
